India Condoles Death of National in Kuwait Attack

Kuwait City – The Indian Embassy in Kuwait on Monday expressed deep condolences over the death of an Indian national in an attack on a desalination facility. The Embassy said it is in close contact with Kuwaiti authorities to provide all possible support and assistance.

Indian Worker Killed in Strike
An Indian worker lost his life after Iran carried out a strike on a power and water desalination facility in Kuwait. The Kuwaiti government confirmed the death and said the attack also caused significant damage to a service building.

Kuwait Condemns Attack, Response Teams Deployed
Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity and Water strongly condemned the incident, calling it an act of aggression. Emergency and technical teams were immediately deployed to control the situation, minimise damage, and ensure that essential services continue without disruption.

Rising Toll Amid Ongoing Conflict
With this incident, the number of Indian nationals killed in the ongoing West Asia conflict has risen to at least eight. Earlier, another Indian died in the UAE after being hit by debris during a missile interception.

The conflict, now in its fifth week, began after strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, followed by retaliatory drone and missile attacks across the region, impacting critical infrastructure and causing casualties.
