India Prepares to Host the 2036 Olympics

India is now preparing for the world’s biggest sporting event. The discussion is about hosting the 2036 Olympics. Prime Minister Modi recently said that India is opening itself up to international sports. He said that in the last 11 and a half years, the government has made extensive changes in the field of sports in the country and has successfully organized more than 20 major international tournaments. In addition, India is also going to host the Commonwealth Games in 2030.

It would be a matter of great honor if India could host the Olympic Games in 2036. For this, India has not only taken several preparatory steps but has also formulated the Khelo India policy 2025. This will provide opportunities to deserving talents in the world of sports. Transparency will increase in sports organizations, and the youth of the country will be inspired to excel equally in both sports and education, and they will be able to make the slogans of Khelo India and Fit India meaningful.

Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann also announced the construction of many new sports stadiums in Punjab. Since Modi ji contests the parliamentary elections from Varanasi, he said that stadiums related to different sports are being built in Varanasi. In addition, training will also be provided in the sports complexes. We believe that stadiums should be built; sports are an essential part of life. Players have often complained that they do not receive adequate financial support and respect during their playing careers and after retirement.

Some senior players complain that they have to depend on others to live their lives in old age. If we truly want to expand sports in India and achieve the glory of victory in the Commonwealth and Olympic Games, then we must encourage the spirit of sportsmanship from the grassroots level. There should be a balance between studies and sports for young people.

The government should promise to ensure their financial security; only then will the spirit of sportsmanship flourish among them. If this can be achieved, hosting the Commonwealth and Olympic Games in India will enhance the country’s prestige. Simultaneously, different states should honor and provide adequate financial support to accomplished athletes from their respective regions, as Haryana has been doing.
