India Slams Pakistan at UN Over Raising Jammu and Kashmir Issue, Calls It an ‘Abuse of Its Presence’

United Nations: India has strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations over its repeated references to Jammu and Kashmir, calling it an “abuse of its presence” at the global platform.

India’s representative asserted that Pakistan continues to misuse international forums to raise the Jammu and Kashmir issue in an “inappropriate and politically motivated manner,” rather than focusing on constructive dialogue.

The Indian side reiterated that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and rejected Pakistan’s repeated statements on the matter, describing them as baseless and misleading.

India also said that such remarks undermine the credibility of the United Nations and distract from pressing global issues that require collective attention.

The statement came during a discussion at the UN where Pakistan once again raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting a sharp response from India.

India maintained that Pakistan should refrain from “misusing international platforms” and instead address its own internal challenges, while respecting international diplomatic norms.

The exchange highlights continuing tensions between the two neighbours at global forums, particularly on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
