India Waives Overstay Penalty for Foreigners Amid War

Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving the United States and Iran, the Government of India has announced temporary visa relief measures for foreign nationals currently staying in the country. The decision allows affected foreigners to extend their visas by 30 days without any penalty for overstaying, offering relief to those unable to travel due to disruptions caused by the conflict.

The move comes as escalating military tensions in the region have led to flight cancellations, airspace restrictions and uncertainty in international travel routes.
