    Indian Army Vehicle Skids Off Road in J&K’s Doda, 10 Killed and Several Injured

    An army vehicle fell into a 400-foot-deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Thursday, killing 10 soldiers.

    The army officer said there were 21 soldiers in the vehicle. Eleven seriously injured were airlifted to the Udhampur Military Hospital.

    According to the official, the accident occurred at Khanni Top on the Bhaderwah-Chamba interstate road. The soldiers were on their way to a post located in an upland area when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

    The Lieutenant Governor said – I am saddened by the accident

    Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, “I am saddened by this tragedy. At this hour, the entire nation stands in solidarity and support with the bereaved families.”

    The injured soldiers have been airlifted to the hospital. Senior officers have been instructed to ensure the best possible treatment. I pray for their speedy recovery.

    Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the tragic news from Doda. My deepest condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”

    Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed grief 

    Doda Deputy Commissioner (DC) Harvinder Singh provided an update on the Doda road accident incident, which resulted in the death of 10 army personnel on Thursday.
    Speaking to reporters, the Deputy Commissioner of Doda stated that the presence of snow on the Bhaderwah-Chamba road was a primary cause behind this tragic accident.
    He stated that out of the 11 injured jawans, ten have been airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur for treatment. The DC of Doda further noted that the mortal remains of the deceased soldiers have been sent to their families.
