1 Indian Killed, 9 Injured After Vehicle Overturns in Oman

Muscat: One Indian national was killed and nine others were injured after a vehicle veered off the road and met with an accident on Sultan Said bin Teymur Street in Oman, according to the Royal Oman Police.

The accident occurred on Saturday after the vehicle veered off the road. The exact cause of the accident has not been disclosed by authorities.

Nine Indians injured in accident

The Royal Oman Police said the incident resulted in one fatality and injuries to nine Indian nationals. The injured were taken to Nizwa Hospital for medical treatment.

The police Air Wing conducted an emergency operation to transport two of the injured from Al Hema Governorate to Nizwa Hospital, after which they were taken by ambulance for further medical care.

Weather conditions may have affected visibility

Authorities have not confirmed whether weather conditions contributed to the accident. However, local authorities had earlier warned of low visibility on highways due to thunderstorms, heavy rain and blowing dust.
