Indian-Origin Man Breaks Down After 5-Year-Old Daughter’s Death in New York

New York: The family of 5-year-old Fabiana Cabello in New York City, USA, is in deep shock after her death. The girl’s father, Kuldeep Singh, has launched a campaign on GoFundMe to cover funeral expenses. Family members described the girl as loving, cheerful, and helpful.

Father Asks for Financial Help for Funeral

Kuldeep Singh launched the fundraiser on GoFundMe four days ago. He wrote that he loved his daughter very much and that losing her feels like losing his entire world.

Kuldeep explained that he is currently facing expenses he cannot afford alone. The funeral organization and cemetery have requested a deposit, but he doesn’t have enough money.

He said he’s trying to continue working as an Uber driver and driving rental cars, but he’s finding it difficult to cope with the grief of losing his daughter and the financial expenses.

According to Kuldeep, the purpose of this campaign is to provide a dignified funeral for his daughter and help him through this extremely difficult time in his life.

Family Expresses Concern About Mother’s Mental State

According to the New York Post, Franklin Cabello, the father of Fabiana’s mother, Francis Cabello, said his daughter had been behaving strangely for some time. He said he believed her mental state was not good.

According to Franklin, he was concerned that his daughter had stopped taking her medication. He said he kept asking her to take it, but Francis said the doctor had given her permission to stop.

However, Franklin said he never thought his daughter would harm the child. According to him, Francis cared for his daughter and was vigilant about her safety. He said the entire family was in shock.

Family described Fabiana as a loving child

According to a New York Times report, Fabiana’s uncle, Punraj Singh, described her as a very loving and cheerful child. He previously lived in the apartment below in the same building, and Fabiana would often visit.

Punraj said he would cook her favorite Indian food, including fried fish, dal puri, roti, and curry. He said Fabiana was a source of joy for his family and home.

He also recalled that Fabiana took special care of her great-grandmother. When her knees ached, she would hold her hand and help her walk around the apartment.

According to Punraj, Fabiana was so friendly that the family had to remind her not to talk to strangers. Once, during a doctor’s appointment, she hugged several nurses present there.

“No one would want to lose her. She was a very loving child,” Punraj said.

According to previous reports, Fabiana’s mother, Francis Cabello, was arrested on murder charges in the child’s death. Reports indicate that on October 14, Francis allegedly called police and said, “I killed my daughter.” The child was taken to the hospital, where she died. The investigation is ongoing.
