IndiGo Told to Process All Passenger Refunds by 8 PM on Sunday

New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation has instructed IndiGo to clear all pending passenger refunds by 8 PM on Sunday, December 7. Passengers affected by cancellations will not be charged for rescheduling, and delays or non-compliance may invite regulatory action.

Flight Disruptions and Passenger Support
IndiGo’s flight disruptions continue into the fifth day, with 405 domestic flights cancelled. The airline must trace and deliver separated baggage within 48 hours and set up dedicated support cells to ensure smooth grievance redressal.

Government Commitment
The Ministry is coordinating with airlines and airports to protect passenger rights, including special assistance for senior citizens, differently-abled passengers, students, and patients, while working to restore full operational normalcy.
