New Delhi: An IndiGo Airbus A320neo bound for Abu Dhabi made a safe return to Kochi early Saturday after experiencing a mid-air technical issue. The aircraft, carrying over 180 passengers and six crew members, landed at 1:44 a.m.
Mid-Air Turnback as Precaution
The airline said the pilots decided to turn back as a precautionary measure. Maintenance checks are being carried out on the aircraft before it resumes operations.
Replacement Aircraft Arranged
IndiGo quickly deployed a replacement aircraft and crew, enabling passengers to continue their journey. “We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers and made all possible efforts to minimise it, including offering meals and refreshments,” a spokesperson said.
