Former MLA and INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking additional security for himself and his family. He has been receiving threats from unknown individuals, foreign numbers, and international gangsters for some time. Chautala has also requested security from the Central Security Force. The petition makes serious allegations against anti-social elements associated with the ruling party.
According to the chronology recorded in the petition, he claims to have received multiple threats between June 15, 2023, and July 15, 2025. Chautala told the High Court that he received phone calls and WhatsApp messages. The callers stated that this was a final warning and threatened to harm his family. The petition also alleges that despite repeated requests and complaints, the state government failed to provide adequate security.
The petition also mentions the murder of Nafe Singh Rathi and claims that international gangs and political opponents are suspected to be involved in the case. In the petition filed by Abhay, the court has been asked to provide him Z Plus or Z security category security by a central agency for 24 hours, the security arrangements should be monitored by a central agency and the threats should also be investigated at the central level.
