Innova collides with vehicle; 3 killed in accident on Jalandhar-Amritsar highway

Three people died in a road accident in Jalandhar, while three young girls sustained serious injuries. The deceased have been identified as Surinder Shukla—a resident of Bilaspur village in Ludhiana—his wife Priyanka, and his mother Yavanti. The police are investigating the matter.

According to reports, Surinder Shukla was traveling with his family in a car towards Beas. Near the Vidhipur flyover, an Innova car speeding from the wrong side collided head-on with their Swift. The family alleges that after the collision, the Innova driver fled the scene instead of helping the injured or taking them to the hospital.

Surinder Shukla was driving the Swift involved in the accident. His wife Priyanka, mother Yavanti, and three young girls were accompanying him. Priyanka died at the time of the accident. Later, Surinder passed away at 8:00 PM, followed by his mother Yavanti at 9:00 PM.

Three girls critically injured

Three girls traveling in the car sustained serious injuries in the collision and are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Among the injured is 13-year-old Anshika, who has suffered severe fractures in both legs. Eight-year-old Arpita and one-year-old Manvi have also sustained serious injuries. These girls have lost their parents and grandmother.
