Intensifying Chill Temperature continues to drop in Punjab, Faridkot coldest @7.1 degrees

Punjab is experiencing a steady drop in temperatures. According to the Meteorological Center, this decline will continue in the coming days. Temperatures could drop by another 2 degrees next week. Daytime temperatures will remain normal, but nighttime temperatures may remain below normal. There is no forecast of rain these days, and the weather will remain dry.

According to the Meteorological Center, the minimum temperature remained 1.6 degrees below normal. On Tuesday morning, it dropped by 0.1 degrees below normal. Faridkot was the coldest city in the state, with a temperature of 7.1 degrees. Amritsar recorded a temperature of 9.1 degrees, Ludhiana 9.8 degrees, Bathinda 8 degrees, and Gurdaspur 9 degrees.

On Wednesday evening, the state’s average maximum temperature decreased by 0.2 degrees. Temperatures in all Punjab cities have now dropped below 30 degrees. It is estimated that temperatures could drop by another 2 degrees in the coming days.

Weather Forecast in Punjab until November 20, 2025

Maximum Temperature: According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Punjab between November 14 and November 20, 2025, is expected to be between 24–26°C in the northern and northeastern districts of the state (such as Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, etc.), while it is expected to be between 26–28°C in other parts of the state.

These temperatures are expected to remain near normal levels, meaning that daytime temperatures in Punjab will neither increase nor decrease significantly during this week.

Minimum Temperature:
Nighttime minimum temperatures are expected to be between 6–8°C in parts of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, and Amritsar, while they are expected to be between 8–10°C in the rest of the state.

Minimum temperatures are expected to be slightly below normal to normal. This means that a slight increase in morning and night temperatures may be felt in many areas of the state during this week.
