At least 18 individuals have been reported dead and many others injured due to Israeli airstrikes in various regions of Lebanon, according to media sources. The National News Agency stated that on Thursday, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike in the southern village of Kfar Tebnit, resulting in the death of four people and extensive damage to buildings and homes.
In another incident, a raid on a house in the eastern Bekaa Valley’s Hallaniya village led to the deaths of five individuals, with several others injured and subsequently taken to Rayak hospital. Additionally, an airstrike in El Khodr, located in the Baalbek-Hermel area, killed seven and injured 14, while another strike targeted a vehicle in the mountainous Aley region, resulting in two fatalities.
Hezbollah also reported that it had engaged Israeli forces in various locations, including Al-Manara, Kiryat Shmona, and Misgav Am. The Shia group claimed to have clashed with Israeli troops in the village of Aita al-Shaab and the town of Adaisseh, successfully destroying two Israeli Merkava tanks and killing their crews. Furthermore, Hezbollah asserted that it had targeted the Sanat Jin base, a logistical facility in northern Israel.
Since September 23, the Israeli military has intensified its airstrikes on Lebanon, leading to a significant escalation of conflict with Hezbollah. According to a report from the Disaster Risk Management Unit at the Lebanese Council of Ministers, the ongoing conflict since October 8, 2023, has resulted in 2,593 deaths and 12,119 injuries from Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon.
