United Nations: UN humanitarian officials have reported that 63,000 metric tonnes of food are waiting to be delivered to Gaza once the aid blockade is lifted, which is enough to support 1.1 million people for two to three months. The 12-day blockade has hindered relief efforts, with the World Food Programme (WFP) unable to transport any food supplies into Gaza due to the closure of all border crossings. WFP currently has 63,000 tonnes of food stored or in transit, and although it has enough stocks to support bakeries and community kitchens for up to a month, the quantity of ready-to-eat food parcels has been reduced to stretch supplies further. Additionally, a lack of fuel is affecting the movement of vehicles and slowing down first responders.
OCHA also highlighted the critical need for oxygen supplies and generators to maintain hospital operations in Gaza, as many current generators are in need of maintenance or spare parts. In the West Bank, settler violence is rising, causing casualties, property damage, and displacement. OCHA has recorded the displacement of over 2,000 Palestinians in the last two years due to this violence. The ongoing Israeli military operation in the northern West Bank has displaced hundreds of people, and access to food is becoming increasingly difficult due to displacement and movement restrictions.
The situation has worsened with a significant rise in the demolition of Palestinian-owned structures, with the number of demolitions during the first 10 days of Ramadan surpassing the total number from all of Ramadan in 2024.
