Riyadh [Saudi Arabia]: An all-party parliamentary delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Panda arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday to bolster diplomatic relations and explore cooperation opportunities between India and Saudi Arabia, showcasing India’s united stance against terrorism. The delegation received a warm welcome from Maj. Gen. Abdulrahman Alharbi, Chair of the India-Saudi Arabia Council Friendship Committee of the Shura Council.

Panda emphasized India’s firm position on terrorism, stating, “India’s stand on terrorism is resolute and uncompromising,” and thanked the officials for their hospitality as they began discussions aimed at strengthening partnership efforts. The delegation includes MPs from BJP, AIMIM, and former officials such as Ghulam Nabi Azad and Harsh Shringla, representing multiple parties. It is part of a broader initiative to counter global misinformation and reinforce India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.

During their stay in Riyadh, the delegation also engaged with members of the Indian community and civil society in Kuwait, including former ministers, royals, media personalities, industrialists, academics, and opinion leaders. These meetings aimed to promote a unified Indian message against terrorism and emphasize the significance of international awareness, receiving strong community support.

Meanwhile, India plans to strengthen its efforts against terror funding associated with Pakistan, which has led to Pakistan’s re-inclusion on the FATF Grey List. Government sources mentioned that India will submit a comprehensive dossier to FATF, presenting evidence of entities and individuals involved in terror financing and money laundering activities.

This diplomatic push is part of a broader campaign following Operation Sindoor, launched on May 7 in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in 26 civilian deaths. In its military response, Indian forces targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, killing over 100 terrorists affiliated with groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The Modi government’s strategy involves deploying multiple multi-party delegations globally to reaffirm India’s zero-tolerance stance against terrorism.
