Balochistan: As Pakistan continues to oppress Baloch residents, the Baloch Women Forum (BWF) strongly condemned a recent rocket launcher attack on the home of Jangiyan Baloch, a civilian in Balicha, Tump Tehsil, Kech district.

On social media platform X, BWF accused “death squads”—armed groups operating locally and allegedly supported by Balochistan’s law enforcement agencies—of executing the attack. The forum issued a statement condemning the assault, labeling it an attack on the social fabric and order of the Baloch community.

The incident injured three members of Jangiyan Baloch’s family: his son Nawaz Jangiyan, daughter-in-law Ayesha Mulla Raza, and wife Modho Naik Bakht. The BWF highlighted that armed factions in the region commit violence with apparent impunity, destabilizing society while avoiding justice. They suggested that these groups enjoy covert backing from state institutions, allowing them to act with impunity.

The forum expressed grave concern over the worsening security situation in Tump, describing it as one of the most heavily affected areas in Balochistan. It accused armed groups of orchestrating targeted killings, enforced disappearances, and attacks on civilians, all contributing to rising lawlessness and fear.

The Baloch Women Forum called for urgent action to address rising human rights abuses. It demanded an end to the “illegal privileges” granted to militias, an immediate halt to human rights violations in Tump and broader Balochistan, and a transparent investigation into the rocket attack. The forum also urged legal action against the perpetrators, along with medical and financial support for those injured and their families.
