A young female boxer from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan has died after suffering a head injury during competition.
Twenty-year-old Fiza Sher Ali suffered a head injury during the 44 kg category competition during the Youth Talent Hunt in Mardan.
An official of Pakistan Judo Federation said, “She was a first year BS student in Peshawar and had come to Mardan for the trial. She was new to this game.” He said that she immediately fell during the match and could not get up again.”
She was taken to the hospital but her life could not be saved. A few days before this, a 16-year-old tennis player also died of a heart attack during an ITF junior match.
