Tehran: In the latest development in the helicopter crash case, all passengers including Iran President Ebrahim Raisi have been declared dead.

The information has been shared by state news agency. The reports said, President Raeisi, along with foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azarbaijan Gov. Malek Rahmati, East Azarbaijan Imam of Friday Prayer Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, & several other passengers have died in the crash.

Emergency Meeting convened after Helicopter crash

Following the helicopter crash incident which involved the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, The Iranian Cabinet has convened an emergency meeting of the cabinet ministers. Helicopter Crash took place which involved President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hussein Amirabdollahian as per the state media.

As per reports, the meeting was chaired by the first Vice-President, Mohammad Mokhber. In the meeting, he ordered further measures for the rescue operation. According to protocol, Mockber would become President in the event of Raisi’s death.

Rescue operation Underway

Rescue workers continued to search on foot after dark for the scene of the helicopter accident, in poor weather conditions. A total of 65 rescue teams were involved in the search for the helicopter’s crew, including the Iranian armed forces. Neighboring countries Turkey and Russia had offered their help to assist the rescue operation.
