New York: Nikhil Gupta, an Indian national accused of plotting a murder against a Khalistani terrorist, has been extradited from the Czech Republic to US. Gupta, 52, was arrested in the Czech Republic last year. He is expected to be produced in a federal court in New York on Monday.

Gupta is currently lodged in the Federal Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he is listed as a prisoner. According to reports, The Washington Post was the first news outlet to report the news of his extradition.

According to the Washington Post news, Gupta, who was detained from the Czech Republic, was brought to New York over the weekend. Usually, extradited defendants have to appear in court within a day of arriving in the country.
