Trump imposed reciprocal tax to increase production in America

On April 2, US President Donald Trump announced a reciprocal tax on other countries. He announced a 26% tariff on India. During this, he said that India is very strict. Modi is my good friend, but he is not treating us properly.

Apart from India, 34% tariff will be imposed on China, 20% on European Union, 25% on South Korea, 24% on Japan, 46% on Vietnam and 32% on Taiwan. America has decided to impose half the tariff on about 60 countries as compared to their tariff.

India said- our economy can bear this tariff

This is the first official response from India after Trump announced the tit for tat tariffs. India’s Commerce Ministry has said that it is assessing the impact of the 26% tariff. An official said that this tariff will affect some sectors, but India’s economy can withstand it.

According to reports, an official said that there are such provisions in the Trump administration that if India addresses the concerns of America, then some relief can be given in the tariff. India is considering taking steps in this direction.
