Nita Ambani shares what she considers her greatest achievements at Harvard India Conference

Boston: Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, recently delivered a keynote speech at the Harvard India Conference, highlighting her proudest accomplishments. She mentioned raising three kind and compassionate children, supporting 75,000 graduates from her schools, and establishing enduring institutions like the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and the Dhirubhai Ambani International.

Boston: Nita Ambani, Founder and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, recently delivered a keynote speech at the Harvard India Conference, highlighting her proudest accomplishments. She mentioned raising three kind and compassionate children, supporting 75,000 graduates from her schools, and establishing enduring institutions like the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and the Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

In her speech, Nita Ambani expressed, “As a teacher, my foremost priority was to raise my children well, and I believe I’ve succeeded in raising Akash, Isha, and Anant to be kind and compassionate individuals who are making significant contributions. I also take pride in the 75,000 children who have graduated from our schools, having had the privilege to influence their futures in some way.”

She further emphasized her passion for building institutions, stating, “I have truly enjoyed creating timeless institutions, such as the Dhirubhai Ambani International School, the Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School, and the 14 other schools operated by our foundation, along with Mumbai Indians, the Reliance Foundation Hospital, and the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.”

Nita Ambani, who is married to Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, shared a touching moment during her address when she recounted how her mother, who had long wished to send her daughter to Harvard but couldn’t due to financial limitations, was moved to see Nita invited to speak at the prestigious institution. She said, “This morning, my 90-year-old mother became emotional and told my daughters-in-law, Shloka and Radhika, that while we couldn’t afford to send her to Harvard, today, they have invited her to speak here. I want to thank you all for making my mother so happy.”

Nita also discussed her youngest son, Anant Ambani, sharing his journey of overcoming challenges, his positivity, spirituality, and his love for Radhika Merchant. She described Anant as deeply spiritual and noted his lifelong struggle with obesity, highlighting his resilience and positivity. “Anant is my youngest child, and he is very religious and deeply rooted in spirituality. Despite battling obesity throughout his life, he remains positive. When he met his life partner, Radhika, their connection is truly magical,” she remarked.
