In May, the Pakistan government named all the rebel organisations of Balochistan as Fitna-al-Hindustan. Among these, the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) is the largest and most prominent organisation.

Government spokesman Shahid Rind said

“This is not just an attack, it is a brutal killing of innocent Pakistanis. This is the result of the barbaric thinking of Fitna al-Hindustan.”

Rind said that terrorists associated with Fitna al-Hindustan also attacked Mastung, Kalat and Sardagi, but the security forces there managed to control the situation. The attack in Zhob was carried out taking advantage of the darkness, due to which the attackers escaped.
