Rawalpindi [Pakistan]: In a series of intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in the Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces have neutralized seven terrorists. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), operations were launched following reports of the presence of Khwarij militants in the Daraban area, where security forces successfully engaged and killed four terrorists.
In another operation in the Maddi area, troops eliminated three additional terrorists. During these operations, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the deceased militants, who were allegedly involved in various terrorist activities in the region. The security forces are conducting further sanitization operations to ensure the complete eradication of any remaining militants, demonstrating their commitment to combating terrorism in Pakistan.
Previously, on February 17, 2025, a significant operation in South Waziristan resulted in the deaths of 30 terrorists after effective engagement from security forces in the Sararogha area. This follows an earlier incident on February 15, where 15 terrorists were killed in two operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the elimination of notable leaders among them. The ISPR emphasized ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the region through continued operations against these militant groups.
