Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt has announced the title of his upcoming action-horror comedy, “The Bhootnii,” coinciding with Maha Shivratri celebrations. The film, produced by Soham Rockstar Entertainment and Three Dimension Motion Pictures, is set to hit theaters on April 18, 2025.
Sanjay Dutt shared the news on his Instagram, stating, “This Good Friday, fear gets a new date—#FridayThe18th! Prepare for horror, action, and comedy like never before! #TheBhootnii will be taking over cinemas on April 18th!” Previously known as “The Virgin Tree,” the film’s title has now changed.
A teaser was also released, providing a glimpse into a mystical world where love turns dark. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev, “The Bhootnii” features a stellar cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Palak Tiwari, Sunny Singh, Beyounick, and Aasif Khan, among others.
On social media, the project was introduced alongside an eerie poster, expressing gratitude towards Mahadev and announcing that the title and release date would be revealed on February 26.
In addition to “The Bhootnii,” Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming projects include the much-anticipated sequel “Welcome to the Jungle,” directed by Ahmed Khan and featuring an ensemble cast, and a key role in “Son of Sardaar 2,” alongside Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora.
