Ramallah: Three Palestinians, identified as leaders of the Islamic Jihad movement’s Jenin Battalion, were killed in an Israeli raid in Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

The Israeli army besieged a house where the men were hiding, engaging in a prolonged exchange of gunfire. Despite attempts by medical teams to approach, they were prevented from doing so for 14 hours, while Israeli forces also hindered ambulance crews and journalists.

The Israeli raid resulted in significant destruction to infrastructure in the Jenin camp, with reports of electricity and water networks being damaged.

Additionally, Israeli forces declared the camp a military zone, prohibiting entry and exit. This raid was part of Israel’s ongoing efforts to thwart terrorist activities, as confirmed by Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

Over 500 Palestinians have been killed across the West Bank and East Jerusalem since the onset of the latest round of conflict in October 2023, according to official Palestinian statistics.
