Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump shared his Diwali greetings while expressing a commitment to enhance the “great partnership” between the United States and India, as well as his friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a post on X, he wished everyone a Happy Diwali, emphasizing that the Festival of Lights should symbolize the triumph of good over evil. Trump also condemned the violence faced by Hindus and other minority groups in Bangladesh, describing it as “barbaric” and asserting that such chaos would not have occurred during his presidency.
He criticized Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden for their alleged neglect of Hindus both globally and within the US. Trump reaffirmed his intention to “Make America Strong Again” while advocating for Hindu Americans against what he termed the “anti-religion agenda” of the radical left. He promised to fight for their freedoms and to reinforce the partnership with India and PM Modi.
Additionally, Trump claimed that Harris’s policies would harm small businesses through increased regulations and taxes, contrasting this with his own record of tax cuts and deregulation. He concluded by stating his aim to recreate the success of his previous administration’s economy, emphasizing the goal to “Make America Great Again” even more than before.
