New Delhi: After the victory of NDA in the Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi can take oath as Prime Minister for the third consecutive time on June 8. According to news agency PTI, leaders of India’s neighboring countries will be invited for this ceremony.
These will include Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nepal PM Prachanda, as well as leaders of Mauritius and Bhutan. The media division of the President of Sri Lanka also confirmed this.
According to the report, President Wickremesinghe called on Wednesday and congratulated PM Modi on winning the election. During this call, Modi invited him to attend the swearing-in ceremony, which Wickremesinghe accepted. During a phone conversation with the PM of Bangladesh, Modi has also invited her to the ceremony.

Nepal’s PM Prachanda also called PM Modi and congratulated him. PTI quoted sources as saying that the leaders of the rest of the countries will be invited for the swearing-in ceremony today. Earlier, after the election results were announced on Tuesday (June 6), half the world congratulated PM Modi.
Apart from the leaders of India’s neighboring countries, more than 90 leaders including Russian President Putin, US President Biden, UK PM Sunak, President of Maldives, France, Israel and Japan Prime Minister were present. Everyone congratulated PM Modi for his third term. Also expressed hope to take forward the partnership with India.
