Washington: US President Donald Trump has said Iran wants the Strait of Hormuz to be reopened immediately, claiming that Tehran is facing severe financial pressure because money is no longer coming in through the strategic waterway.

Trump made the remarks on Saturday while speaking to reporters, saying Iran now wants to make a deal that would allow the Strait of Hormuz to reopen. He attributed Tehran’s push for reopening the waterway to the economic impact of the ongoing conflict and restrictions on Iranian trade.

Trump Rejects Iran’s Proposal To Reopen Hormuz
