ISRO continues to set new benchmarks of success

Recently, India launched the Drishti satellite. This satellite was successfully launched from California using SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket. The harsh truth is that due to environmental pollution and its inability to control it, seasons are disappearing. Heavy rains occur during the summer and cloudbursts occur during the rainy season. Floodwaters cause significant loss of life and property. Last year, most areas of India suffered this tragedy. The successful launch of the Drishti satellite is notable for its contribution to the youth’s development. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the successful launch of this satellite is a testament to the passion of our youth. The Drishti satellite will help in the country’s defense, agriculture, and disaster management. It is a dualpurpose Earth observation satellite, observing both Earth and space. This satellite will be of great assistance in maritime surveillance and infrastructure planning. India is witnessing an era of innovation. A massive push for innovation is underway, and a new ISRO report indicates that ISRO has launched 29 active Earth observation satellites to date. The Drishti satellite provides images related to adverse weather, disaster impacts, agriculture, and border surveillance. Furthermore, this satellite can capture clear images even in cloudy, dark, and inclement weather. This satellite weighs 190 kilograms and is equipped with a multi-spectral camera and a synthetic radar imager. This satellite will provide us with advance warnings of potential weather events. If such advance warnings are available, authorities can efficiently conduct rescue operations for areas affected by large-scale disasters and stranded populations. Thus, we can say that ISRO’s progress not only allows us to explore space but also provides advance warning of natural disasters on Earth, which would be a significant achievement.
