Jaipur Businessman Found Dead in Hotel Room; Police Investigating Incident

Jaipur: A 32-year-old businessman was found dead in a hotel room in Jaipur’s Raja Park area on Sunday. Police said the man was found hanging inside the room where he had checked in three days earlier.

According to Adarsh Nagar SHO Manish Gupta, the deceased has been identified as Manav Chhabra, a resident of Raja Park who owned an eyewear business.

Body Found After Hotel Staff Alert Police

Police said hotel staff became concerned after Chhabra did not come out of his room by around 1 p.m. on Sunday. After being informed, police reached the hotel and forced open the room in the presence of witnesses, where they found him hanging from a bedsheet.

A forensic team inspected the scene and collected evidence before the body was sent to SMS Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family.

Financial Dispute Case Underway

During the investigation, police found that Chhabra had attended a court hearing on Friday in connection with a long-pending financial dispute case.

Police said they are also looking into information suggesting that he had been facing personal stress related to divorce proceedings. However, officials have not confirmed the exact reason behind the death, and the investigation is ongoing.
