Jalandhar: Paper reels loaded truck overturned, driver injured

A truck loaded with paper reels overturned near the Maqsudan flyover in Jalandhar. The accident caused a traffic jam. Passersby informed the police. They reported that the driver was trapped inside the truck’s chassis. He was extricated with great difficulty. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Police arrived at the scene and used a crane to remove the truck and clear the traffic jam. The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. Driver Satinder stated that he was traveling from Kapurthala to Ambala. When he applied the brakes near the DAV flyover, the loaded reels shook, causing the truck to lose balance and overturn on the road.

Maqsudan police arrived at the scene and investigated the accident. Police reported that the truck, loaded with reels, had been reported overturned at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night.

The PCR team, along with the PCR team, had the truck straightened and removed from the road. The driver is undergoing a medical examination. If the medical report reveals drug use, action will be taken accordingly.
