Uproar at Jalandhar Bar: Youths Assault Staff, Vandalise Property After Being Stopped from Creating Nuisance

Jalandhar: A dispute that began during a drinking session at a popular bar in Jalandhar’s Kishanpur area escalated into a violent clash. Over a trivial matter, a group of unruly youths assaulted the restaurant staff and went on a rampage, causing extensive damage to the premises. The police have arrived at the scene, seized CCTV footage, and launched a manhunt for the accused.

The incident took place at ‘CHEERS And BEERS’ Bar and Restaurant, located in Kishanpur. A group of youths was seated in the restaurant, consuming alcohol. During this time, one of the youths who was heavily intoxicated vomited right next to their table. When a restaurant employee objected to this and asked about cleaning up the mess, the youths became enraged. In no time, the argument escalated to the point where the youths began using abusive language and hurling insults. The dispute soon took a violent turn.

Widespread Assault and Vandalism

Hearing the commotion, other employees rushed in to intervene, but the youths attacked them as well. The youths not only physically assaulted the staff but also smashed expensive glass fixtures, furniture, and other property within the restaurant. The ensuing chaos caused panic among other patrons present in the bar, who began fleeing the premises in fear for their safety.

Police Initiate Investigation

Upon receiving news of the disturbance, the restaurant manager immediately alerted the local police station. A police team arrived at the scene shortly thereafter; however, by that time, the accused youths had already fled the area. The police inspected the crime scene and have taken possession of the footage recorded by the restaurant’s CCTV cameras.

Identification of Accused Underway

Police officials state that the faces of the youths are clearly visible in the CCTV footage. A case has been registered, and efforts to identify the youths are currently underway based on the video evidence. The police have asserted that the culprits will be arrested shortly, and strict legal action will be taken against them. Following the incident, the restaurant management has expressed concerns regarding the security arrangements at the establishment.
