Jalandhar: Authorities bulldozed the illegally constructed home of a drug smuggler in the Rajan Nagar area of ​​Basti Bawa Khel in Jalandhar. In a joint operation by the Municipal Corporation and police, the home of drug smuggler Narinder Kumar, alias Baba, was demolished.

Illegal Home Demolished Under ‘War Against Drugs’ Campaign

This action was taken under the government’s campaign ‘War against Drugs’ to send a strong message against drug traffickers and stop illegal activities.

According to reports, the Municipal Corporation team had already issued a notice to Narinder Kumar, also known as Baba, regarding illegal construction. The notice asked him to provide documents related to the house and clarify the legality of the construction, but the accused failed to respond within the stipulated timeframe. Following this, the Municipal Corporation decided to take action under the rules and sought police protection.

Security has been tightened in the entire area

On Tuesday morning, a Municipal Corporation team arrived at the scene with a heavy police force and began the demolition process. ACP Aatish Bhatia and the SHO of Basti Bawa Khel police station were present at the scene to prevent any untoward incidents. Police tightened security in the area and controlled the movement of people in the vicinity.
