Nakodar police have achieved a breakthrough by busting an extortion and firing racket operating at the behest of foreign-based gangsters. Following an encounter, the police arrested two accused, identified as Ankit Kumar alias Ankit (resident of Sitamarhi, Bihar; currently residing in Ludhiana) and Harinder Gupta alias Harinder (resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh; currently residing in Ludhiana). These two accused were planning to target a prominent businessman in the city again.
