Class 9 student found dead in Jalandhar Heights complex

A Class 9 student was found dead under mysterious circumstances at a residential building in Jalandhar, triggering outrage among family members and protests at her school campus. The incident occurred in the Jalandhar locality of Jalandhar Heights, where the minor girl’s body was reportedly discovered after she allegedly fell from a building.

The deceased, identified as Bhuvika, was a student at Cambridge International School and had recently joined a tennis academy for practice. Her sudden death has raised several questions, with the family alleging foul play while police initially suspect suicide.

Girl had gone for tennis practice

According to family members, the 14-year-old student had left home in the evening to attend tennis practice at her academy. Her mother had reportedly dropped her at the academy around 4 pm and planned to pick her up later in the evening.

However, the family later received a call informing them that their daughter had been taken to a hospital after being found critically injured near a residential building in Jalandhar Heights. When they reached the hospital, doctors declared the girl dead.

The unexpected turn of events shocked the family, as they could not understand how the student reached the residential complex after leaving for tennis practice.

    Police suspect suicide, investigation underway

Police officials said the girl appears to have died after falling from the sixth floor of a residential building in the housing complex. Preliminary investigations suggest it could be a case of suicide, though the exact circumstances are still under investigation.

According to police sources, a suicide note was reportedly found inside her tennis kit, in which the girl allegedly apologised to her parents and mentioned stress related to her studies. However, investigators are verifying the authenticity of the note and examining whether it was actually written by the victim.

The body was taken into custody and sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

    Family alleges foul play

The girl’s parents have strongly rejected the suicide theory and demanded a thorough investigation. They claim that their daughter could not have reached the residential complex on her own and suspect that something suspicious may have occurred.

Family members also questioned the claim about the suicide note, stating that the girl’s exam results had not even been declared yet, making it unlikely that she would have been under such pressure.

They have demanded access to CCTV footage from the academy and surrounding areas to trace the girl’s movements after she left for practice.

    Protests erupt at school campus

The tragic death triggered protests by the family and supporters at the school campus. Parents and local residents gathered outside the institution, demanding justice and clarity regarding the circumstances of the student’s death.

Demonstrators raised slogans and urged authorities to conduct a transparent investigation. Some protesters demanded that police examine all possible angles, including the possibility of abduction or foul play.

Police officials assured the family that the case would be investigated thoroughly and that all evidence, including CCTV footage and forensic reports, would be examined.

    Police continue probe into incident

Authorities have begun collecting statements from the girl’s family members, school staff, and people connected to the tennis academy. CCTV footage from nearby areas is also being analysed to track the student’s movement before the incident.

Officials say the final conclusions will depend on the post-mortem report and forensic analysis. Meanwhile, the tragic death has shocked the local community and sparked concern about the safety and mental well-being of students.

The police have urged the public not to speculate about the cause of death until the investigation is completed.
