Jalandhar: The CIA Staff of Jalandhar Commissionerate Police has achieved a major success against drug trafficking by arresting two accused and recovering 5 kg of heroin along with ₹1.5 lakh in alleged drug money.
The action was carried out under the directions of Commissioner of Police Jalandhar Shri Satinder Singh, IPS, as part of the special campaign being conducted by the Punjab Government against drugs.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Shri Manpreet Singh Dhillon, PPS, DCP/Investigation; Shri Dev Singh, PPS, ADCP/Investigation; and Shri Amarbir Singh, PPS, ACP (D), and under the leadership of Insp. Surinder Kumar, Incharge, CIA Staff Jalandhar.
Two Accused Arrested Near Patwari Dhaba
On September 11, 2026, the CIA Staff police party was travelling from Kot Kalan Chowk, Deep Nagar towards Cantt Road, Jalandhar, when officers noticed two young men near Patwari Dhaba, Kot Kalan Chowk, on the basis of suspicion.
During lawful questioning, they disclosed their names as Dilpreet Singh alias Krish, son of Davinder Singh, and Kamaldeep Singh alias Gondi, son of Sarbdyal.
Both accused are residents of the area near Atta Chakki, VPO Goraya, Phillaur, District Jalandhar.
During the search, police recovered 5 kg of heroin and ₹1.5 lakh in alleged drug money from their possession.
Accordingly, a case was registered against the accused at Police Station Cantt, Jalandhar, vide FIR No. 177 dated September 11, 2026,
