Jalandhar Police Issue Traffic Route Plan for Republic Day Celebrations

Jalandhar: Jalandhar Police have released a traffic route plan for the Republic Day celebrations in Jalandhar from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. This plan was developed in anticipation of the large crowds expected at the district-level ceremony at the Sri Guru Gobind Singh Stadium.

This route plan aims to maintain the flow of visitors and maintain smooth traffic flow. As part of this, passenger buses and other vehicles traveling to and from the Jalandhar Bus Stand have been diverted.

Special parking arrangements have been made

Special parking arrangements have been made for cars, buses, and private vehicles of spectators arriving at the stadium. The police aim to ensure smooth traffic flow and no inconvenience to the public during the Republic Day celebrations.

Movement will be restricted on many routes

There will be a ban on the road from

Samra Chowk towards Nakodar-Moga.

Entry of other vehicles will be closed from V Point Nakodar Road towards Milkbar Chowk.

Coming from Nakodar Chowk towards Guru Nanak Mission is also prohibited.

Movement of vehicles will be restricted from T Point APJ College to Chunmun Mall and from Masand Chowk to Milk Bar Chowk.

Movement will also be restricted from Geeta Mandir Traffic Signal Light to City Chan-mun Chowk.

There will also be a diversion from Med Pratappura Nakodar Road towards City Institute-Urban Estate-Cool Road-Samra Chowk.

Some alternative routes have been arranged for convenience

Buses and heavy vehicles going to and from Kapurthala from Jalandhar Bus Stand can use the PAP Chowk to Kartarpur route.

Vehicles going from Jalandhar Bus Stand towards Nakodar, Shahkot should use the Bus Stand, Samra Chowk, Cool Road, Signal Lights Urban State Phase 2, City Institute, Village Pratappura route.

Movement will be restricted on the route from Wadala Chowk to Ravidas Chowk.

Buses going from Jalandhar Bus Stand towards Nakodar, Shahkot, Moga will be able to go towards Nakodar-Shahkot via PAP Chowk, Rama Mandi Chowk, Jamshed Bypass.
