Jalandhar’s Richi Kaypee hit-and-run case: Sessions court to decide on businessman’s anticipatory bail today

A hearing will be held today on the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Gursharan Singh Prince, a textile merchant from Shekhan Bazaar who has been absconding for 17 days in the hit-and-run case involving Richi KP, son of prominent former Jalandhar minister Mohinder Singh KP. Additional Sessions Judge Dr. Deepti Gupta will deliver her verdict on Tuesday.

The police have already arrested and questioned Prince’s brothers-in-law, Taranjit Singh and Gurpreet Singh, on charges of harboring Prince. Both were later granted bail. Prince, along with his brother-in-law, Shanky, went underground in Delhi. Prince has been on the run since the accident. Jalandhar police conducted several raids in Delhi, but Prince remained undetected. The search for him is ongoing.

Richi KP died in an accident near Model Town on September 13th. Richi was returning home in his Fortuner when he was hit by a Creta car coming from the opposite direction when he reached the Double Shot Cafe.

The Creta was driven by Prince, a textile businessman from Shekha Bazaar and a resident of GTB Nagar. Richie was admitted to the hospital for treatment after the accident, but he had already died. Richie was the only son in the family. He has two sisters.
