Jalandhar Teen Murder Case: Accused Produced in Court, Remand Extended by One Day

Jalandhar: In the case of the murder of a 13-year-old girl in Jalandhar’s West Area, the police presented the accused in the Jalandhar Sessions Court. Police arrived with the accused shortly after 3:30 pm on Friday and presented him in court.

Police sought four days’ remand for the accused, but the court granted only one day’s remand. It should be noted that the accused has been produced in court for the third time in connection with the November 22nd murder case.

Investigators Say More Information Needed from Accused

The first time, he was granted nine days for questioning, the second time two, and now one day. The police told the court that they need to extract several more information from the accused, which requires a four-day remand.

Advocate Pankaj Sharma said that he would do everything possible to ensure justice for the girl’s family. He was granted a one-day remand. This matter is very serious. There are many facts that cannot be made public. Disclosing them would be against the case. The police had filed an application, and the court, exercising its powers, granted one more day for questioning.

Questions About Presence of a Second Suspect Under Investigation

Regarding the possibility of another accused being present inside the house, Advocate Pankaj Sharma said that this is a matter for investigation. If the family raises questions, the police will investigate. This is not a matter for the judiciary. If the family feels there are any shortcomings in the police investigation, appropriate action will be taken.
