Jalandhar: Two motorcycles collide; one dead, another injured

A young man died and another was critically injured in a collision between two motorcycles in the Bilga area near Nakodar (Nurmahal). Harkamal Singh, the Sarpanch of Begampur, stated that Ravinder Kumar, alias Ravi (son of Manohar Lal), a resident of Begampur, died on the spot. Meanwhile, Paramjit Singh, alias Pamma (son of Joga Singh), also a resident of Begampur, sustained serious injuries.

The accident occurred near Mui village. The Sarpanch mentioned that both youths worked in building construction and were returning to their village, Begampur, from Bilga for lunch on Sunday afternoon. Near Mui village, a speeding motorcycle driven by Shankar (son of Santosh) went out of control and collided with the other motorcycle.

The impact was so severe that Ravinder Kumar (Ravi) died instantly at the scene. Both Paramjit (Pamma) and Shankar were critically injured. Shankar’s condition is reported to be critical, and he has been referred to the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar for treatment.

Bilga Police arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Bilga police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. The police transported the injured to the hospital via ambulance. Given the critical condition of one of the injured, he was referred to the Civil Hospital in Jalandhar. The police stated that further action would be taken following the investigation and after recording the statements of the family members.
