Jammu & Kashmir: Shehbaz -Munir’s Posters in Doda; search for Accused Intensified

The situation in Doda has become tense following the viral circulation of a video allegedly showing posters being put up in support of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir. The police have registered an FIR and have launched a search for the accused individuals.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, clearly shows a person affixing posters to the under-construction Nepli Flyover near Ganpat Bridge. A senior official stated that efforts are underway to identify the accused and to maintain public order.

A police official informed that a short video clip has gone viral on social media. The video depicts the act of pasting posters, and geotagging was also active during the recording. At the very top of the posters, photographs of Shehbaz and Asim Munir are printed.

Several other individuals are also visible in the footage. A Pakistani flag is displayed on the left side. Beneath the photographs, against a green background, objectionable words written in Urdu in white lettering can be seen. In addition to slogans expressing support for Pakistan, the text contains lavish praise for Shehbaz and Munir.

Jammu Kashmir Youth Movement 

The posters also mention an organization named the “Jammu Kashmir Youth Movement.” The police official stated that an investigation into the matter has been initiated. It will only be determined after the investigation whether the video is authentic or has been artificially fabricated.

Acting swiftly, the police have registered an FIR and are currently engaged in identifying the individual who put up the posters by scrutinizing CCTV footage and utilizing technical surveillance methods.
