Jammu: Youth Dies under suspicious circumstances in Bishnah

In Ratnal, Bishnah, 22-year-old Anuj Mandal, son of Ajit Mandal and a resident of Rampur district, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide under suspicious circumstances by hanging himself.

According to information provided by those living with him, Anuj Mandal returned to his room from work around 7:00 PM on Sunday and went to sleep around 10:00 PM after having dinner.

Anuj had asked his roommate to wake him up early in the morning. Around 7:00 AM, when his roommate attempted to wake him, there was no response from inside the room. When they knocked on the door a little more forcefully, it opened. Upon looking inside, they discovered that he had committed suicide by hanging himself from an iron pipe originally installed to support the tin roofing, under suspicious circumstances.

Subsequently, people present at the scene summoned the local Sarpanch and neighbors, after which the police were informed. The Bishnah Police also called an FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team to the site, which collected evidence pertinent to the incident. The Bishnah Police have now commenced an investigation into the matter.
