Man Shoots Wife Dead in Haryana’s Jhajjar, Accused on the Run

Sirsa: A shocking incident shook Birdhana village in Jhajjar district on Monday night after a man allegedly shot his wife dead before fleeing the scene.

The accused, identified as Sanjay, reportedly fired eight rounds at his wife, Anjali, outside their residence. She died on the spot due to multiple gunshot wounds.

Accused Recently Released on Bail

According to preliminary reports, the accused had a criminal case registered against him and was recently released from jail on bail. Police suspect that a domestic dispute escalated into a violent altercation, leading to the murder.

Investigators are probing the exact motive behind the crime.

Police and FSL Team Collect Evidence

On receiving information, ACP Anil Kumar reached the spot with his team and assessed the situation. The area was immediately cordoned off.

A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) collected crucial evidence from the crime scene to aid the investigation.

Raids Underway, CCTV Footage Being Examined

Multiple police teams, including CIA and Special Staff units, are conducting raids at suspected hideouts to trace the accused. Authorities are also scanning nearby CCTV footage and questioning family members and villagers to gather more details.

After completing initial procedures, the body of the deceased was sent to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police officials have stated that the accused will be arrested soon as the investigation continues.
