Jhajjar: Woman dies after being hit by a trolley, angry villagers block road

A shocking road accident occurred on Wednesday morning on the Chhuchhakwas-Dadri road in Jhajjar district. A woman, who was going to fill water from a tanker, was crushed by a speeding truck, killing her on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Rekha.

Immediately after the accident, angry villagers placed the body on the road, completely blocking traffic on both sides, and created a massive traffic jam.

Villagers allege that accidents occur regularly on this route due to speeding vehicles, but the administration does not take any concrete action.

Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information. Police officers are trying to persuade the people to clear the blockade, but the villagers are adamant on demanding the arrest of the truck driver and compensation.

The truck driver who caused the accident fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. Police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem and have launched a search for the absconding driver.
