Jharkhand Student Protest Continues as Talks With Government End Without Breakthrough

Ranchi: Students protesting against alleged irregularities in Jharkhand government recruitment exams will continue their agitation after talks with the state government failed to produce a solution.

A student delegation met a government-appointed panel in Ranchi and discussed concerns related to examinations conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) and Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC).

Students Demand Probe and Exam Reforms

The protesters are seeking action over alleged problems in the recruitment process. Their demands include cancellation of certain examinations, an inquiry into alleged irregularities and greater transparency in the recruitment system.

The government said it would continue talks with student groups and other stakeholders. An email facility has also been opened to collect suggestions and feedback from students.

Protest to Continue

Despite the discussions, student leaders said their key demands have not been addressed. Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto said the agitation would continue until the government takes concrete steps.

The protest has been going on in Ranchi for around 15 days, with students demanding a more transparent and accountable recruitment examination system.
