Roadways Bus Overturns in Jind While Avoiding Scooter Rider, 40 Passengers Injured

In Jind, Haryana, on Monday afternoon at 1:30 PM, a Haryana Roadways bus lost control and overturned. About 40 passengers on the bus were injured in the accident. The driver also suffered serious injuries.

The Kilometer Scheme bus was traveling from Panchkula to Hisar. Near Hariyal Chowk in Narwana, a scooter suddenly appeared in front of the bus. To save the scooter rider, the driver swerved the bus.

As a result, the bus lost control, went over the divider, and overturned, breaking the wall of the nearby Hariyal Rest House. After the incident, local people reached the spot.

Passengers were taken out by breaking the bus windows. Later, the injured passengers were taken to Narwana Civil Hospital.

Passengers were rescued by breaking the glass

As soon as the incident was reported, Narwana’s DSP, along with the police team, reached the spot. They immediately started relief operations. Local people and police personnel together rescued the passengers trapped in the bus by breaking the glass.

Injured admitted to hospital

The injured were immediately admitted to the government hospital in Narwana and nearby private hospitals. Some passengers have sustained minor injuries, while the condition of many is being reported as serious. The police inspected the scene and have started investigating the case. According to initial investigations, the accident is believed to have been caused by high speed and the sudden appearance of a scooter rider.
