J&K Drug Bust: Father-Son Among 5 Held with 3 Kg Hashish

In the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, the police have carried out a major operation against drug traffickers, in which five people have been arrested. A large quantity of narcotic substances was also recovered from them. According to the police, the Anantnag police conducted an anti-drug campaign across the district, carrying out operations at various locations. Five traffickers were caught during these operations. Officials stated that the aim of this campaign is to curb the increasing drug trafficking in the area.

Raided a house, 3 kilograms of hashish recovered
The police stated that after receiving a specific tip-off, they obtained a search warrant from the court. Following this, they raided the house of Fayaz Ahmed Dar, who resides in Naina Gund Baba Khalil in the Sangam area. During the search, the police found 3 kilograms and 99 grams of a substance resembling hashish. Following this recovery, the police immediately arrested Fayaz Ahmed Dar and his son Arbaaz Ahmed Dar. A case has been registered against both, and further investigation has been initiated.

FIR registered under NDPS Act
The police informed that in this case, an FIR has been registered at Bijbehara Police Station under the NDPS Act. The matter is being investigated in depth and efforts are being made to find out who else is involved in this smuggling network.

Preventing drug trafficking
It is worth noting that the police have been continuously conducting campaigns against drug traffickers in Jammu and Kashmir, which also include security forces. The aim of this campaign is to prevent the sale and smuggling of narcotic substances in the Union Territory.
