J&K Govt approves promotion of JMC engineers

The Jammu and Kashmir Government has approved the promotion, confirmation and regularisation of engineers working in the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC). The decision was taken following recommendations made by the UT-level Departmental Promotion Committee.

According to the Housing and Urban Development Department order, Er Firdous Ahmad Qazi has been promoted as Executive Engineer with effect from June 30, 2010. He has also been confirmed and elevated to the post of Superintending Engineer/Joint Commissioner (Works) from July 12, 2024.

Janak Singh also gets promotion

In another decision, Er Janak Singh has been promoted to the post of Executive Engineer with effect from July 12, 2024. The order is part of the government’s move to streamline promotions and service regularisation in JMC.
