JKK Hosts Mega Book Festival with Over 1 Lakh Books; Special Sections for Children and Youth

Jaipur: The ongoing Jaipur Book Festival at Jawahar Kala Kendra has emerged as a major attraction for literature enthusiasts, offering a massive collection of more than one lakh books across multiple genres and languages.

The festival features works by renowned Indian authors as well as bestselling international writers, creating a vibrant platform for readers of all age groups.

    Special Focus on Hindi Literature

A dedicated Hindi literature section has been set up at the festival, showcasing celebrated works by iconic writers including Premchand, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mahadevi Verma, Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Dharamvir Bharati, Nirmal Verma and Gulzar.

Organizers said the popularity of Hindi books has increased significantly in recent years, leading to a broader collection of contemporary and classic Hindi literature at this year’s event.

Youth and Children’s Sections Attract Visitors

Special sections have also been curated for children and young readers. The children’s zone includes books on science activities, mythology, arts and crafts, personality development, and creative storytelling.

Parents visiting the festival are showing keen interest in educational and inspirational books aimed at reducing children’s screen time during the upcoming summer vacations.

For young adults, a separate section offers books related to careers, startups, self-help, finance, business, and competitive examination preparation.

    Popular Contemporary Authors in Demand

Among younger readers, books by popular contemporary authors such as Chetan Bhagat, Sudha Murty, Amish Tripathi, Durjoy Datta, and Ravinder Singh are witnessing strong demand.

Organizers said the festival aims to encourage reading habits among children, youth and families by bringing together literature, creativity, and learning under one roof.
