In a major crackdown, Rajasthan Police busted an illegal MD (mephedrone) drug manufacturing unit operating from a flat in a posh locality of Jodhpur. Acting on specific intelligence, a joint team conducted a late-night raid and recovered around 3 kg of MD drugs along with chemicals and equipment used for manufacturing narcotics.

The operation exposed how drug traffickers are increasingly using residential areas to run illegal activities, making detection more challenging for authorities.

Accused ran factory with girlfriend

According to police sources, the main accused was allegedly running the drug factory with the help of his girlfriend. The duo had converted the flat into a makeshift lab where synthetic drugs were being prepared and processed.

Investigations revealed that the accused had been involved in drug production for some time and was likely supplying MD to local and interstate networks. The involvement of close associates highlights how such operations are often carried out within trusted circles to avoid suspicion.

Police break door to enter flat
